UN Secretary General-World Bank president arrive in Cox Bazar to visit Rohingya refugee camps
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and World Bank President Jim Young Kim reached the Rohingya camp. When they came down, they first visited the transit point of the camp.
They reached Barakhi camp at Ukhiya around 11 am on Monday.
Then they will visit Kutupalong Main Rohingya Camp and women's separate places. After the inspection, the UN Secretary-General and the World Bank chief are going to press conference in D-Five Block of Kutupalong Extension Camp.
They arrive at Cox's Bazar on a special flight of Bangladesh Biman around 9 am. Then they rested for a while in a hotel in Cox's Bazar.
They are accompanied by Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, United Nations Refugees Global Organization UNHCR, Filippo Grandi and Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund. Officials of various organizations under the United Nations including Natalia Khanem.
