Fourth International Yoga Day is celebrated
Today, on Thursday (June 21st), the fourth International Yoga Day was celebrated in Bangladesh as well as in the whole world.
Yoga ceremony was inaugurated at 7 am at Bangabandhu International Stadium. On this day, Yoga Show, People's Yoga Session, and a Lucky Draw are held.
In the speech as Chief Guest, Road Transport and Stress Minister Obaidul Quader said, "There has been a violent rage of the drug in the country. Yoga can take strong positions against this drug. '
He further said that yoga has been newly established under the leadership of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It has come to Bangladesh now.
Obaidul Quader also said that due to yoga, jobs can come back in the young and working people.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Advocate Biren Shikder was present as special guest. Besides, Indian High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Singla, who was appointed in Bangladesh, spoke on the occasion.
A video message was broadcast by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
After the inauguration ceremony, the Joint session was organized. Yoga sessions conducted by Joint Instructor Mimpi. Distinguished players, actors, singers, and diplomats of different missions in Dhaka participated in the program.
On December 11, 2014, UN declared the International Yoga Day.
